As a Commis at Savaya Group, you will support the Kitchen, Stewarding, Restaurant, Service, and Operations teams by assisting with dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, food preparation, and general back-of-house duties across our F&B venues in Bali. You will play an important role in maintaining cleanliness, organisation, hygiene, and operational efficiency throughout each service.

What You’ll Experience
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

What You’ll Be Doing
You will support the Kitchen and Stewarding teams by ensuring that plates, bowls, cutlery, glassware, cooking equipment, utensils, trays, and other kitchen items are washed, sanitised, dried, and returned to the correct locations. You will help ensure that the kitchen has the clean equipment and serviceware required to operate efficiently.
You will operate dishwashing equipment and follow the correct procedures for sorting, rinsing, washing, sanitising, drying, and storing items. You will handle glassware, crockery, knives, cookware, and other equipment carefully to prevent damage, breakage, and safety risks.
You will assist with maintaining clean and organised kitchen areas, including the dishwashing area, preparation areas, storage spaces, floors, sinks, benches, shelves, rubbish areas, and other back-of-house facilities. You will promptly clean spills, food debris, grease, and other hazards in accordance with company procedures.
You may assist with basic food preparation and kitchen support duties, including washing and preparing ingredients, portioning items, arranging supplies, restocking workstations, and supporting the kitchen team as directed. You will follow instructions carefully and complete tasks in accordance with the required recipes, procedures, and quality standards.
You will help organise and return clean equipment, utensils, glassware, and service items to the appropriate storage areas. You will communicate with chefs, servers, stewards, and supervisors to identify equipment requirements and help prevent delays during service.
You will support stock and operational requirements by helping receive, move, store, and replenish kitchen supplies when required. You will report shortages, damaged items, breakages, equipment problems, spills, or maintenance concerns to the relevant supervisor.
You will sort rubbish and food waste correctly and follow the venue’s procedures for recycling, waste disposal, and environmental practices. You will help keep waste areas clean, safe, and properly managed throughout the shift.
You will help maintain a safe working environment by following correct procedures when handling hot equipment, sharp tools, chemicals, glassware, wet floors, heavy items, and dishwashing machinery. You will immediately communicate any safety, hygiene, equipment, or operational concerns to the appropriate team member.
Because you will be working in active F&B and entertainment environments, you will be expected to remain attentive, energetic, and professional during busy service periods. You may support daytime, evening, weekend, public holiday, and event operations according to business requirements.
You will follow all company procedures relating to food safety, hygiene, cleaning, sanitation, waste management, health and safety, kitchen standards, uniform, grooming, and operational procedures. Where necessary, you will escalate service, equipment, hygiene, or workplace concerns to the relevant supervisor.

Do you have previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, hotel, beach club, resort, café, catering, stewarding, or hospitality environment?

Are you detail-oriented and able to maintain clean equipment, workstations, storage areas, and kitchen facilities?
Are you willing to learn kitchen procedures, food preparation techniques, equipment operation, venue layouts, and hospitality standards?
Do you have a positive attitude and a genuine interest in supporting excellent food quality and guest experiences?
Can you communicate effectively in English? Additional language skills are welcome.
