We are looking for a Bartender to join the team at Zazzy in Bali and support the delivery of exceptional beverage and guest experiences. You will prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, soft drinks, and other beverages while maintaining high standards of quality, service, presentation, and cleanliness.

This is a hands-on role for someone with strong bar experience, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for hospitality. You will work closely with the bar team, service team, kitchen team, and management to ensure smooth bar operations and create a welcoming, professional, and memorable experience for every guest.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, mixed drinks, spirits, wine, beer, soft drinks, coffee, and other beverages according to Zazzy standards.

• Welcome guests professionally and provide attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable bar service.

• Take beverage orders accurately and process them efficiently through the point-of-sale system.

• Recommend drinks, explain menus, and assist guests with beverage selections when required.

• Maintain consistent beverage quality, presentation, portion control, and speed of service.

• Prepare garnishes, syrups, mixers, ingredients, glassware, ice, and other bar requirements before and during service.

• Maintain the cleanliness, organisation, and appearance of the bar, back bar, workstations, equipment, and guest areas.

• Monitor stock levels and support the proper storage, rotation, and handling of beverages and bar supplies.

• Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and bar setup procedures in line with operating standards.

• Work closely with servers, runners, kitchen team members, and management to coordinate guest orders and service flow.

• Respond to guest requests and resolve service concerns professionally, escalating issues to the Bar Manager or Restaurant Manager when required.

• Follow responsible alcohol service procedures and verify guest age when required.

• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health, workplace safety, and responsible service standards.

• Assist with inventory counts, wastage control, requisitions, and reporting as required.

• Stay informed about Zazzy’s beverage menu, promotions, events, ingredients, allergens, and service procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Bartender role.

• Experience in a restaurant, bar, lounge, hotel, beach club, or other food and beverage environment.

• Good knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and bar service standards.

• Strong guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Professional, friendly, and service-oriented approach with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure in a fast-paced bar and hospitality environment.

• Good understanding of responsible alcohol service, food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.

• Ability to use point-of-sale systems and handle payments accurately.

• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with bar, service, kitchen, and management teams.

• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders and priorities.

• Comfortable working shifts, weekends, public holidays, and late hours when required.

• Physically fit and able to stand, walk, and work behind the bar for extended periods.

• Good English communication skills are required

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a restaurant, hotel, lounge, bar, or similar hospitality venue.

• Practical cocktail preparation, beverage service, and bar operation skills.

• Knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, wines, beers, mixers, garnishes, and beverage presentation.

• Ability to deliver consistent, efficient, and personalised guest service.

• Professional grooming and presentation in line with hospitality standards.

• Reliable, proactive, flexible, and willing to support the wider team.

• Positive attitude and passion for beverages, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences in Bali.

• Formal bartending, hospitality, or beverage training is an advantage.
